Minimal Incision Surgery

Premier Podiatry Director, Trevor Prior, is the first UK podiatric surgeon to be trained in minimal incision surgery. This technique uses very small incisions and specialist equipment to perform surgery to minimise trauma. It is not suitable for every condition and ecah patient requires specific assessment to determine suitability.

This technique has been popularised for bunion surgery more recently and is more suitable for smaller deformities. The National Institue for Clinical Excellence (NICE) have issued guidelines relating to bunion surgery:
